Volunteer to Help Sort Children’s Books for Baltimore City Youth
Every year at the Annual Meeting, NASPA organizes efforts to give back to the communities that so graciously welcome us into their cities. This year's community service project is focused on education.
There are two ways to engage this year - both in person and those joining us virtually!
Date: Sunday, March 20, 2022
Time: 8:30am - 11:30am
Volunteers will work in small groups to sort and organize hundreds of children’s books that the Maryland Book Bank will distribute to Maryland students. In addition to the volunteer project, volunteers will get a tour of The Warehouse Collaborative, a 40k square foot Baltimore warehouse where the Maryland Book Bank, Break A Difference, and four other nonprofits are headquartered. Volunteers will be transported to the volunteer site via bus, provided by NASPA.
There are a limited number of spots to participate! Register here to help us give back in Baltimore! The deadline to register is March 11th.
Book Drop Off
Want to participate but can't join us for the site visit? We have an option for that too!
Books from the Wish List may be donated in person in the exhibit hall at booth 413 (Break A Difference) or sent directly to the Maryland Book Bank (choose "gift registry address" ---> "deliver to this address" at check out).
Please note that the Maryland Book Bank's shipping address is:
1794 Union Ave
Baltimore, MD 21211
Virtual Engagement Options
Not attending the conference in person? Don't worry, you can be part of this important engagement effort. The Maryland Book Bank is in need of books, which you can donate, using this link.
This year's community service event would not be possible without the support of Break a Difference and GivePulse.
