Get Ready To Stay Well and FIt at NASPA 2024
The 2024 NASPA Annual Conference wouldn’t be complete without wellness and fitness activities. This year we are excited to present a range of activities to keep you active and bring some balance to a busy week of intellectual learning. As you prepare to attend the conference, you can look forward to opportunities to move your body through Yoga, Zumba, and HIIT classes offered by local instructors.
Wellness and fitness activities offer time to unplug from the world around us, care for our mental wellbeing, and ensure we are our best selves throughout the length of the conference. They’re also a time to build community! You can connect with likeminded early risers at a yoga class. You might also find other people who share your love of dance at a Zumba class. Regardless of the activity you choose, you can anticipate opportunities to move, feel good, and maybe get a little silly with your fellow NASPA Annual Conference attendees.
Whether you are a long time wellness and fitness enthusiast, or just popping in for a bit to unwind from a day of brain activity, we hope you find this year’s offerings fun and fulfilling. Each activity was carefully planned by a team of fitness lovers who are SO excited to share their love of wellness and fitness with you. When we were preparing this blog post, we took some time to reflect together on why wellness is important to us and why we are so excited to have conference attendees participate, here were some of the things we thought about:
- Greg: “Fitness is important to me because it sets the foundation for my day and my life by allowing me to be the best version of myself for all my identities (husband, dad, employee, friend, citizen, etc.). I joined the committee to ensure folks can prioritize fitness while tending to their occupational and intellectual wellness at NASPA!”
- Courtney: “As someone who tends to be go-go-go or always on to the next thing, I often forget the impact a wellness practice has on my mental and physical health. My wellness practice helps me build space to pause amid my busy day (and brain haha). Checking in with myself during this pause allows me to gain perspective and a sense of calm.”
- Monique: “My wellness practice is one of the best parts of my day to day. It gives me the mental clarity and physical ability I need to navigate my relationships and responsibilities. The more I explore my health and wellbeing, the more excited about it I become. It even better when I can share these practices with others."
In short, we are all pumped about wellness and fitness, and the possibility of engaging in some awesome classes with you all.
