Request Meeting Space

The 2019 NASPA Annual Conference is the perfect place for constituent groups, institutions, and NASPA leaders to host brainstorming and/or planning meetings for the next year. It is also the perfect time to host networking and social events after a long day of professional development. 

How to Submit a Meeting Space Request

The deadline to submit a meeting space request is Friday, November 2. Meeting space is very limited. Please adhere to the established deadline. Any requests after the November 2 deadline will be subjected to a $50 fee.

It’s important to note that all requests are subject to approval. Notifications of space assignments will go out on Friday, December 7, 2018.

  • Scroll to the bottom of the Request Page and click "Add New"
  • Scroll to the bottom of the Program Type page and click on the "Meeting Space Request" radio button.
  • Follow instructions from there.

Cost

There is no cost associated with using the meeting space, however if you wish to provide catering and have audiovisual needs, those are available to you at additional costs.  

There is a fee for exhibitors who are requesting a meeting reception space.

  • Less than 1,000 sq. feet: $250
  • More than 1,000 sq. feet: $500.
Sponsored vs. Non-Sponsored

Meetings/Receptions fall in to two categories, NASPA-sponsored events and Non-NASPA-sponsored events.  

NASPA Sponsored Events

Meetings and receptions that fall under this category are those meetings/receptions that are being paid for by NASPA. Events that might be included in this but are not limited to, are, Knowledge Community meetings and receptions, NASPA Leadership, divisions, and staff coordinated meetings and receptions, etc.

Non NASPA Sponsored Events

Meetings and Receptions that fall under this category are all meetings and receptions that are NOT being paid for by the NASPA office. Events that typically fall under this category are Institutional receptions and meetings. These are events that happen in conjunction with the NASPA Annual Conference but are not supported financially by NASPA.

Catering

Catering information, menus, and hotel contacts will be available by December 7, 2018.
