Brick Monsters and Bureaucracy: Strategies for Creating Student-Centered Processes

PC 18

Every school has processes that unintentionally hinder a student’s progress – withdrawing, readmission, academic eligibility, transfer credit, and more. Where are your barriers? The workshop will focus on revising institutional processes that act as barriers to success and persistence, identifying key stakeholders to engage in creating solutions, and developing student-centered processes. This workshop is for anyone looking to reduce wasted efforts for students and professionals. Presenters will use examples from their roles to serve as a foundation for discussion. Examples of process improvement techniques will include Lean basics, process mapping, and value stream mapping.
