Democracy Academy: Engaging Campuses, Persons, and Communities in the Electoral Process

PC 32

Higher education's civic learning and democratic engagement (CLDE) efforts have encouraged students to view themselves as significant stakeholders in government, politics, and the welfare of people beyond their immediate social circles. To best support this thriving civic ethos on campuses, institutional stakeholders like student affairs educators and faculty must engage in the democratic process. Using resources developed by national organizations and institutions, workshop participants will have an opportunity to examine the political climate before, during, and beyond election seasons.
