Game of Data: Overcoming Barriers in Your Assessment Journey

PC 48

The practice of student affairs assessment remains an onerous responsibility that comes on top of an already packed schedule. This session will simulate a student affairs administrator's journey through the assessment cycle, from asking questions to making meaning of results, with encountering challenges of time restraints, limited financial resources, and possible opportunities to use existing data along the way. Through interactive play, participants will discuss the challenges, fears, and trepidations associated with conducting assessments while identifying what strategies will help professionals more seamlessly integrate assessment into their work.
