Graduate and Professional Student Success: Exploring Support Initiatives through the Lens of Mental Health and Wellness
As the national mental health crisis amongst graduate and professional students continues to reach peak levels, it is imperative for graduate programs and professional schools to respond proactively with appropriate support initiatives that center around the wellness needs of students. This program will highlight a model wellness series for graduate students at a large public university. Participants will take part in interactive activities as part of the sample curriculum. We will also explore initiatives that contribute to the overall success of graduate students, focusing on those that build community, strengthen the mentoring relationship and provide diverse and inclusive environments.
This session will be held at The University of Texas at Austin, Robert A. Welch Hall, 105 East 24th Street, Austin, TX 78705.
