Introduction to Developing and Using Rubrics for Student Affairs Assessment
Descriptive rubrics (sometimes called analytic rubrics) are commonly used in rigorous assessment because they make evaluating complex concepts simpler. Unfortunately, the process of developing them requires a great effort. The presenters will share important background information and practical applications for the writing of rubrics for use in academic and student affairs applications. The session will be interactive, with participants doing the work of crafting descriptive rubrics that will collect valid and reliable data.
