Legislation in Higher Education: A Mock Senate Simulation
Understanding issues facing higher education and the role our civic processes play in navigating those issues is an important step in developing civic-minded campuses and professionals. Learn about the legislative process and some of those key issues by participating in a mock senate simulation as a witness delivering testimony before the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions. This character-playing mock senate simulation will enable you to research, craft, and deliver compelling testimony before a demanding senate committee and face challenging questioning and scrutiny from senators. This session is open to anyone interested in experiencing the legislative process.
