2020 NASPA Annual Conference

Multiraciality, Transracial Adoptees, & Innovative Approaches to Digital Storytelling

PC 34

Participants will explore the representation of multiracial people and transracial adoptees in spaces like YouTube and Instagram, seeking to understand how digital content can highlight these voices on our college campuses. Presenters will then offer creative strategies for utilizing social media as a platform for storytelling. These innovate practices modeled throughout the workshop will be part of a larger conversation about social media use in student affairs roles and keeping up with the latest trends among students.
