NASPA Power and Place: Indigenous Worldviews of Higher Education Virtual Symposium

PC 07

Professional preparation and socialization processes often lack learning holistically about the education and development experiences of Indigenous students. In response to this absence, this symposium is an opportunity to explore the landscape of Indigenous student affairs by accessing the knowledge and insights of Native practitioners, faculty, students, and other institutional leaders. Presenters will broaden the worldview of professionals through critical discussions about orientation, transition, retention, and other topics that impact the participation of Indigenous higher education communities.
