Professional Preparation for Aspiring AVPs:  On Becoming an Assistant/Associate Vice President of Student Affairs

In support of the professional life cycle, this pre-conference will explore the professional competencies required of successful Assistant/Associate Vice Presidents (AVPs) of Student Affairs. The program will include a panel of sitting AVPs and Chief Student Affairs Officers (CSAOs) to discuss practical application of the professional competencies, and a panel of Higher Education Search Firm professionals and CSAOs to explore professional preparation and strategies for approaching the search process for those seeking the position. The format of this pre-conference program will include panel discussions and small group processing.
