Starting from Ground Zero: The Role of Student Affairs in Emergencies

PC 46

College campuses, much like our country, face a wide range of threats and potential hazards ranging from acts of terrorism, cyber attacks, pandemics, and natural disasters. This session will engage participants in describing the basic framework for student affairs in their campus’s emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities. Using real-life experiences, after-action findings, successes, and lessons learned, we will illustrate how student affairs divisions need to build capacity and capability for emergencies.
