Taking Ego out of Prevention: Radical Vulnerability in Social Justice Programming
Equity and inclusion in education begin with a social justice framework that views socialization as the foundation of identity. Content that scrutinizes socialization can challenge participants' sense of self, pushing them beyond their capacity to engage. The presenters will offer candid discussions about lessons learned through vulnerability in social justice education. Participants will explore the significance of their own learning to engage with decreased defensiveness and increased humility. Attendees will build a reflective practice that moves towards transformative justice over protection of ego.
