Transforming Culture: Opportunities and Challenges Facilitating Change

PC 33

Higher education has been an industry that is slow to respond to the growing demands of innovation and change. Renowned management philosopher Peter Drucker stated “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” Administrators will participate in exercises that explore the relationship of institutional culture and change management in colleges and universities. In part, participants will engage in the roles of resistance, agreement, trust, and transformation as they related to the change facilitation process.
